A cover is not a safety barrier, and we will say so
Wood Carves is a small online pool-supplies shop in Gurugram selling covers, reels, skimmers, brushes and hoses. Every listing carries the finished size, the overlap it needs and the fitting diameter, and every cover page says plainly that it is not a safety cover.

Sold by the box size, fitted by the pool
A solar cover bought for a small private pool arrived a foot short on the diagonal. The listing had given a size, but not whether that size was the cut sheet or the finished coverage after the edge seal, and not the overlap a cover needs to sit on the coping instead of floating free.
So sizing on our pages is the finished coverage with the overlap stated separately, and hoses and skimmer fittings carry their diameter rather than a model code. It costs a paragraph on every listing and it removes the single commonest reason a pool accessory goes back.

What we will not claim
We will not describe a debris cover as a safety cover, we will not quote a heat gain figure we cannot source, and we will not photograph an accessory on a pool it does not fit. Water is unforgiving of exaggeration in a way most retail categories are not.
